Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) treated its faculty and staff to a vibrant picnic and braai at Cross Park Gardens as part of the institution’s end-of-year celebrations, creating a relaxed platform for employees to unwind, bond, and reflect on a successful year.
The event brought together academic and non-academic staff in a serene outdoor setting filled with music, dance, fun games, and a variety of braai delicacies and refreshments. Staff members actively participated in interactive games and recreational activities, adding excitement and laughter to the day while strengthening camaraderie and teamwork.
Speaking during the event, Vice Chancellor Prof. Ajay Poddar expressed heartfelt appreciation to faculty and staff for their dedication, commitment, and strong team spirit throughout the year. He emphasized that the university’s achievements were a direct outcome of collective effort and collaboration across all departments.
Prof. Poddar highlighted several key milestones recorded during the year, including the university’s accreditation by the British Accreditation Council (BAC), notable infrastructure developments, and the introduction of new academic programmes designed to enhance learning outcomes and global competitiveness. He also commended students for their exceptional performance, citing victories in the Medical Universities Quiz and the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) Hackathon Universities Competition as outstanding achievements.
The picnic and braai not only served as a moment of celebration but also reaffirmed Texila American University Zambia’s commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging work environment that values employee well-being.
