My name is Alisha Potgieter. I am from Pretoria, South Africa. Currently, I am studying my first-year MBChB at Texila American University, Zambia.
I am delighted and feeling excited to pursue my medical degree at Texila American University.
We, medical students, have got all the facilities to learn the different aspects of medical education. We have well-equipped labs, library with all the required books, serene classrooms, qualified faculty, and many more.
Specifically, in our Anatomy laboratory, we have a lot of very detailed plastic models. We can study and practice with the plastic models before we dissect the real body.
When it comes to teaching, it is excellent. Our entire faculties are supportive and approachable. They help us in all our learning stages.
Our university has got students from diverse countries. Learning in this environment feels good for me. Even our faculty are of different nationals. They are amazing.
This is a very exciting university to come and study here because you can get a nice medical education here. Texila American University has laid the first stepping stone in my medical career. With the knowledge I gain here, I am for sure will explore better opportunities and reach greater heights in the medical profession and serve my nation.
Thank you, Texila American University and our beloved professors, for being so supportive and being by my side!
Asante!
