Another group of bright learners from Chipakata Children’s Academy visited Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) on Friday, touring the ultramodern Lilayi campus and engaging with faculty from the School of Business.
During the visit, the students explored state-of-the-art lecture theatres, library facilities, and ICT labs, gaining a first-hand look at the vibrant academic environment.
Ms. Jacqueline Siwale, Lecturer in the School of Business, encouraged students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset: “Business is not only about making money, it’s about solving problems in society. With the right skills, you can create opportunities not just for yourself but for your community.”
Dr. Francis Daka, also from the School of Business, emphasized leadership and management skills: “Every great manager starts with discipline, vision, and the willingness to serve others. Management is about guiding people towards a common goal.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Towani Kawonga, Lecturer in Information Technology, spoke about emerging IT trends: “New developments like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data analytics are transforming every career. IT skills will be essential no matter what path you choose.”
This visit follows a similar engagement last month and is part of TAUZ’s ongoing efforts to inspire young learners, giving them a glimpse into higher education opportunities and the possibilities that lie ahead.
Through initiatives like these, TAUZ continues to live its motto of “Bringing Education to Life”, nurturing the next generation of leaders and innovators.
