The Vice Chancellor of Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ), Prof. Ajay Poddar, has applauded the university’s student delegation for their exceptional performance at the Zambia Model United Nations (ZAMUN) Conference 2025, during a special recognition event held at the Lilayi Campus.
Speaking during the event, Prof. Poddar congratulated the students for representing TAUZ with distinction at the high-level conference, which was held on 16th July 2025 at the University of Lusaka – Silverest Campus. Organized by the Zambia Law Development Commission, the conference brought together student delegates from over eleven universities across Zambia for engaging debates, legal simulations, and global policy discussions.
In his remarks, Prof. Poddar expressed pride in the students’ achievements, noting that several of them received individual awards for their exceptional communication, diplomacy, and leadership skills during the simulations. He emphasized that their success was a reflection of the university’s commitment to academic excellence, critical thinking, and the holistic development of its students.
“You have not only represented TAUZ but have also flown the flag of Zambia high by engaging meaningfully on global issues. Your participation and performance speak volumes about the kind of leaders we are nurturing at this institution,” Prof. Poddar stated.
The Vice Chancellor further urged the students to remain committed to personal growth and to seize such platforms as stepping stones toward future leadership roles in both national and international arenas.
The recognition event served as both a celebration of student success and a reaffirmation of the university’s dedication to providing experiential learning opportunities that prepare students for real-world challenges.
