Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) hosted a vibrant and memorable Meet & Greet Evening at its Lilayi Campus, bringing together on-campus and Distance & Blended Learning Program (DBLP) students for an enriching evening of music, interaction, and shared experiences.
The event served as a unique platform for students to connect not only with their peers but also with university management and faculty members in a relaxed and informal setting. This spirit of openness and togetherness created a lively atmosphere filled with laughter, conversation, and a strong sense of community.
The highlight of the evening was a captivating live performance by Zambia’s soulful music sensation Mordecai, who serenaded the audience with his chart-topping hits, leaving everyone inspired and uplifted.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chancellor Prof. Ajay Poddar underscored the value of such gatherings in fostering a supportive and inclusive academic environment.
“At TAUZ, we believe in building meaningful connections beyond the classroom. This evening was designed to strengthen the bond between students, faculty, and management—because education is not only about learning, but also about belonging,” said Prof. Poddar. “When students feel connected and supported, they thrive.”
The Meet & Greet Evening featured interactive sessions, entertainment, refreshments, and plenty of moments for students to share ideas and engage with university leadership on a personal level.
Through events like this, TAUZ continues to uphold its commitment to holistic student development—Bringing Education to Life by cultivating both academic excellence and strong interpersonal relationships.
