Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) recently conducted an outreach engagement with Grade 12 learners from various schools in Kitwe, aimed at supporting students in making informed academic and career decisions.
During the engagement, the Texila team introduced learners to the Texila Academy Revision Tool, an online study platform designed to help pupils strengthen their preparation for examinations through structured revision materials and learning support.
The team also highlighted the importance of Psychometric Tests in career guidance, explaining how such assessments help students better understand their abilities, interests, and personality traits when choosing career paths and academic programmes.
Speaking during the session, Ms. Chinyanta Mwaanga from the Business Development Department encouraged learners to begin thinking about their future early and to take advantage of available academic support tools.
“Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions you will make in life. Psychometric tests help you understand your strengths and interests so that you can pursue a path where you are most likely to succeed and make a meaningful impact,” she said.
Learners actively participated in the interactive session, asking questions and engaging with the presenters on how they could better prepare for their examinations and future careers. Texila American University Zambia continues to conduct similar engagements across the country as part of its commitment to supporting education, empowering young people, and promoting informed career planning among secondary school learners.
