Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) successfully hosted the 3rd International Conference on Health and Allied Sciences, an event that brought together academicians, researchers, policymakers, professionals, and students from across Zambia and beyond. The conference, held at Cheryl Gardens and the TAUZ Lilayi Campus, served as a platform for knowledge exchange, research dissemination, and collaborative dialogue on key issues affecting the health and allied sciences sectors.
The conference was officially opened by the Honourable Minister of Education, Mr. Douglas Syakalima, who represented Her Honour the Vice President of the Republic of Zambia, Dr. W. K. Mutale-Nalumango. In his address, the Minister highlighted the importance of research-driven policy development and emphasized government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to national development through knowledge creation.
TAUZ Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ajay Poddar, expressed his gratitude to the guests of honour, partners, sponsors, and participants for their commitment to advancing academic excellence and research. He noted that the conference continues to play a significant role in positioning TAUZ as a centre of scholarly engagement in the region, while strengthening collaborations with key stakeholders in health and education.
Day 1 of the conference featured a vibrant inauguration ceremony and keynote presentations delivered by distinguished speakers from Zambia and abroad. The event created an engaging atmosphere for participants to exchange insights on emerging trends and innovations in the field.
Day 2 of the conference continued at the TAUZ Lilayi Campus with impactful paper presentations across multiple tracks, showcasing research from both seasoned experts and emerging scholars. Presenters delivered findings on medicine, public health, management, and policy, generating meaningful discussions and new perspectives.
