The Student Representative Council (SRC) at Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ), led by its President, Aquila Chilanga engaged in an interactive session to welcome new students during the orientation period. The session aimed to familiarize first-year students with the university’s vibrant campus life, including various clubs and activities available for them to join.
During the session, the SRC introduced the students to a wide range of extracurricular activities under the university’s new club structure. Each club was presented with an overview of its mission and the exciting opportunities it offers, encouraging students to actively participate in shaping their university experience beyond the classroom.
The atmosphere was lively as students took part in fun and interactive games. Those who actively participated and showcased enthusiasm were rewarded with goodies, adding excitement to the occasion.
Speaking at the event, SRC President Aquila Chilanga emphasized the importance of student involvement in extracurricular activities, highlighting how these experiences foster personal growth, leadership skills, and a sense of community.
“The university journey is not just about academics—it is also about making meaningful connections and exploring your interests. We encourage all new students to take advantage of the diverse clubs and activities available,” said Chilanga.
