Aquila Chilanga, an industrious MBChB student at Texila American University Zambia, has been appointed Vice President of the Zambia Medical Students Association (ZAMSA) at a recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Lusaka.
Aquila expressed his gratitude and determination, stating, “I am deeply honored to have been appointed as Vice President of ZAMSA. It is a privilege to serve my fellow medical students, and I am committed to diligently fulfilling my responsibilities to advance our collective interests and contribute to the improvement of healthcare in Zambia.”
This recognition comes as no surprise, given Aquila’s track record of leadership. Currently serving as the President of the Student Representative Council (SRC) at Texila American University Zambia and the President of the Debate Society, Aquila’s dedication to his responsibilities and his commitment to the medical community are evident.
Aquila last year represented Zambia in the 2023 World Health Organization AMR debates hosted in Zimbabwe.
His appointment as Vice President of ZAMSA further solidifies his reputation as a capable and respected leader among his peers.
