Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) students who emerged victorious at the 2025 Zambia National Medical Quiz have officially handed over the trophy to university management in a ceremony held at the Lilayi Campus.
The team, which outshone some of the country’s top medical universities, presented the award to Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ajay Poddar, who commended the students for their outstanding performance and dedication. In receiving the trophy, Prof. Poddar emphasized that the victory was a clear demonstration of the university’s effective academic delivery and robust curriculum, which adequately equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in competitive platforms.
Speaking during the presentation, team leader and Student Representative Council (SRC) President, Mr. Kuhlekonkhe Nxumalo, expressed gratitude to the lecturers and faculty members whose teaching approaches made the quiz preparation seamless. He noted that many of the questions asked during the competition were familiar because they had been thoroughly addressed during lectures, highlighting the practical and impactful nature of TAUZ’s curriculum.
The achievement has not only brought pride to the university community but has also reaffirmed TAUZ’s commitment to academic excellence and its vision of bringing education to life by preparing students to make a meaningful impact in society.
Deputy Vice Chancellor- Academics, Dr Balamurugan Easwaran, the Dean for School of Medicine Dr Amit Singh and all faculty were congratulated for the job well done.
