Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) joined the rest of the nation in celebrating Zambia’s 61st Independence Anniversary with a colorful and interactive event held on campus. The celebration brought together students, faculty, and staff to reflect on the country’s rich history, unity, and post-independence achievements.
The event featured captivating presentations from Dr. Francis Daka, a faculty member, and Mr. Wezi Nyirenda, the Chief Librarian, who shared insightful reflections on Zambia’s journey since 1964. In keeping with the spirit of engagement, Mr. Thaza Mweza and Mr. Emmanuel Mutale from the Sales Department hosted an exciting Independence Quiz, testing students’ knowledge of the country’s history, culture, and national symbols. The quiz sparked friendly competition and encouraged participants to deepen their understanding of Zambia’s heritage.
