Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) once again held its monthly Learning Saturday, an enriching initiative dedicated to the professional development of faculty and staff. The event, which forms part of the University’s commitment to continuous learning and institutional growth, brought together members of staff for an interactive and knowledge-filled session.
Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Balamurugan Easwaran, opened the session by sharing the University’s recent achievements and highlighting key upcoming events. He also took time to speak about the significance of the British Accreditation Council (BAC) accreditation process, emphasizing how it enhances TAUZ’s global recognition, academic quality, and credibility. Dr. Easwaran encouraged staff to take pride in the university’s progress and to continue supporting initiatives that strengthen academic and operational excellence.

Mr. Chilile Musonda, University Librarian, delivered an inspiring talk on “Leadership Without a Title,” emphasizing that leadership is not confined to positions but is demonstrated through initiative, teamwork, and commitment to shared goals. Ms. Nizarean Belvin, a faculty member, addressed the vital topic of mental health, underscoring the importance of emotional well-being among staff and students. She encouraged open conversations around mental health challenges and highlighted practical strategies for maintaining balance and resilience in the workplace.
