Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) held a successful Learning Saturday session aimed at enhancing professional and interpersonal skills among faculty and staff members. The event featured a series of impactful presentations and interactive activities designed to support continuous learning and strengthen teamwork within the institution.
The session included an insightful presentation on the Effective Use of Digital Resources delivered by the university’s Chief Librarian, Mr. Wezi Nyirenda, who emphasized the importance of leveraging digital tools to improve academic research and learning delivery.
Adding a human-centered perspective, Prof. Patrick Chanda, Dean of the School of Public Health, led a thought-provoking discussion on Understanding Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace. His presentation encouraged staff to cultivate self-awareness, empathy, and effective communication for a more productive and harmonious work environment.
To round off the day, Dr. Wellington Simango and Dr. Ryan Nkhoma led a series of exciting team-building activities that not only energized participants but also strengthened collaboration and unity among departments
Speaking at the close of the program, TAUZ Vice Chancellor Prof. Ajay Poddar praised the initiative, stating:
