The Zambia Medical Association (ZMA) has congratulated Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) on achieving accreditation from the British Accreditation Council (BAC), describing it as a significant milestone in the university’s pursuit of academic excellence and international recognition.
This was during a courtesy meeting held at the ZMA Secretariat between TAUZ Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ajay Poddar, and ZMA President, Dr. Masika Phiri.
During the meeting, Prof. Poddar informed Dr. Phiri that TAUZ had recently earned full accreditation from the BAC, a globally recognized body that assures quality standards in higher education institutions. He explained that this achievement demonstrates TAUZ’s commitment to maintaining high standards in teaching, learning, and student support in line with international benchmarks.
Dr. Phiri congratulated TAUZ on this remarkable achievement, noting that such recognition adds great value to Zambia’s higher education sector. He also expressed ZMA’s willingness to continue collaborating with TAUZ in activities and initiatives aimed at strengthening medical education and professional development in the country. The meeting further discussed ongoing areas of cooperation between the two institutions and opportunities for future partnerships that will contribute to improving healthcare training and practice in Zambia.
