His commitment to advancing healthcare transcended borders, and it was this passion that led him on a remarkable journey to Marrakech, Morocco, in September 2023.
Dr. Singh received a prestigious invitation from the Government of Morocco to participate as a speaker at the 2nd African Conference on Health Risk Reduction. Organized by the African Global Health and supported by the African Union and CDC Africa, this conference aimed to bring together administrative leaders, experts, politicians, and professionals from across Africa and beyond to address critical health issues.
The event, which spanned from the 27th to the 29th of September, was an international gathering of minds, with over 1600 participants hailing from more than 85 countries and representing five continents. It was a platform for dialogue on diverse aspects of public health policy, emphasizing the foundational elements of future healthcare, encompassing organic, psychological, economic, social, and environmental factors.
One of the highlights of the conference was the five sessions and panel discussions that took place over the three days. Dr. Amit Kumar Singh had the privilege of participating as one of the speakers in a panel discussion titled “Food Safety & Water Management in Africa: The Great Challenge.” His expertise in these critical areas made his insights invaluable.
Moreover, Dr. Singh also contributed as an author to a book titled “Health Sovereignty in Africa: The Advocacy,” which was launched during the conference. His chapter specifically focused on “Health Sovereignty in the Southern African Region: Challenges & Recommendations.”
This publication served as a testament to his commitment to finding sustainable solutions to healthcare challenges in the region.
When he returned to Texila American University Zambia, Dr. Singh continued his mission, inspired by the diverse voices and ideas he had encountered in Marrakech.
