Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) held a vibrant Inauguration Ceremony to formally induct the newly elected Student Representative Council (SRC) members into office. The event took place on Monday, 30th June 2025, at the university’s Lilayi campus and was attended by students, faculty, and members of management.
In his keynote address, TAUZ Vice Chancellor Prof. Ajay Poddar congratulated the new student leaders and commended the outgoing SRC members for their dedication and commitment to serving the student body. He urged the incoming council to uphold a spirit of service, responsibility, and collaboration.
“Leadership is not about holding a title; it is about the impact you make,” said Prof. Poddar. “I encourage the new SRC to be visionary, responsible, and inclusive in representing the interests of students and enhancing the Texila experience.”
As part of the ceremony, outgoing SRC members were presented with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their service and contribution to student life at TAUZ.
Newly elected SRC President Kuhlekonkhe Nxumalo expressed gratitude for the trust placed in the new team and pledged to foster unity, engagement, and innovation among students.
“It is an honour to serve the student community of TAUZ. Together with my team, we aim to create a vibrant and inclusive environment where every student voice is heard and valued,” Nxumalo said
