Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Lusaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), establishing a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing access to higher education for the business community.
The MoU, which was signed at a ceremony held at the TAUZ Lilayi Campus, will see members of LCCI benefit from exclusive tuition discounts when they enroll in any of the university’s academic programs. This initiative forms part of TAUZ’s broader mission to provide quality, accessible, and industry-aligned education.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, TAUZ Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ajay Poddar, who signed on behalf of the university, emphasized the institution’s commitment to collaborating with key stakeholders in Zambia’s economic landscape.
“We are proud to partner with the Lusaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Through this MoU, we are not only strengthening ties between academia and industry but also making higher education more accessible to working professionals,” said Prof. Poddar.
The MoU was co-signed by Mr. Alexander Lawrence, President of LCCI, who welcomed the partnership as a step forward in capacity-building among chamber members.
“This partnership with Texila American University Zambia will empower our members with academic advancement opportunities that are essential in today’s competitive business environment,” said Mr. Lawrence.
The collaboration underscores Texila’s commitment to “Bringing Education to Life” by fostering partnerships that support professional growth and national development.
