The Graduating Class of 2025 in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) programme at Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) held a heartfelt farewell come-together at the University’s Lilayi Campus, marking the closing chapter of their academic journey in an atmosphere filled with reflection, gratitude, and celebration.
The emotional afternoon brought together students who have shared years of rigorous academic training, clinical rotations, examinations, and countless moments of collaboration and resilience. What began as a cohort of aspiring medical students has now transformed into a confident and competent group of future medical doctors ready to serve communities locally and internationally.
During the gathering, members of the graduating class reflected on their journey — from their first days navigating the demands of medical school to successfully completing clinical attachments and practical assessments. Many shared personal testimonies of perseverance, teamwork, and the lifelong friendships built through shared challenges and triumphs.
Faculty members present commended the class for their discipline, dedication, and commitment to excellence. They encouraged the soon-to-be doctors to uphold professionalism, ethical practice, and compassionate patient care as they transition into the healthcare system.
The farewell event was marked by moments of laughter, group photographs, appreciation messages to lecturers and mentors, and emotional tributes among classmates. While the occasion symbolised the end of their campus experience as students, it also signified the beginning of a new chapter in their medical careers.
As the MBChB Class of 2026 prepares to graduate, Texila American University Zambia proudly celebrates this next cohort of medical doctors, confident that they are well-equipped with the knowledge, skills, and social responsibility required to make a meaningful impact in the health sector. The University remains steadfast in its mission to train competent and globally competitive healthcare professionals who will contribute to national development and global health advancement.
