Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Livingstone Tourism Association (LTA) to foster collaboration in education, research, and community development.
Through this strategic partnership, LTA members will receive exclusive discounts on any academic program they choose to study with TAUZ. In addition, the association has committed to sponsoring two of its members to pursue studies at the university, further strengthening the link between the tourism sector and higher education.
The MoU was signed by LTA Chairperson, Mr. Shaun Wheeler, on behalf of the association, while TAUZ management signed on behalf of the university but witnessed by TAUZ Business Development Executive, Ms. Mercy Lwando.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Mr. Wheeler described the partnership as a step forward in equipping tourism professionals with the skills they need to thrive in an evolving industry.
“This collaboration opens doors for our members to access quality education that can transform their careers and strengthen our sector. By sponsoring two members, we are not only investing in individual growth but also in the future of tourism in Zambia,” he said.
The partnership underscores the shared commitment of TAUZ and LTA to contribute to sustainable development through education and skills enhancement.
