Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) successfully hosted another edition of its highly anticipated Learning Saturday, bringing together faculty and staff for an enriching blend of knowledge-sharing, capacity building, and teamwork.
The session featured insightful presentations on key areas central to the university’s operations and culture. Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Balamurugan Easwaran, delivered an in-depth presentation on Value Governance, and the Value Governance Team as the body entrusted to ensure that the Culture and core Values of the University are upheld, emphasizing the importance of aligning institutional frameworks with global best practices in higher education.
In another engaging session, Ms. Mercy Kasongo Kunda, Sales Manager, and Mr. Derrick Hamakala, Academics Manager, jointly presented on meaning and significance of TAUZ Core Values, reminding participants of the principles that guide the university’s mission of “Bringing Education to Life.”
Public Relations Officer, Mr. Aaron Chiyanzo, added to the program with a timely presentation on Understanding Workplace Change. His session highlighted the importance of adaptability and embracing new skills.
The day was not only about learning but also about fostering collaboration and team spirit. Faculty and staff engaged in lively Team Building Activities skillfully managed by Mr. Thaza Mweza and Mr. Chipeta Kambole from the Sales and Marketing Department, together with Mr. Warren Jere from the Examinations Department. These activities reinforced the value of teamwork, problem-solving, and interpersonal connections across departments.
