On July 27th, 2021, Texila American University-Zambia launched the Kenneth Kaunda Scholarship for eligible students of the MBChB program. It was Dr. Kenneth Kaunda’s belief that education is the best equalizer. Also he lived to see that all Zambians attained quality education that would, in turn, help the country move to higher levels. As we continue to mourn his loss, we must maintain a commitment to honor his memory and legacy.
Texila American University-Zambia feels thrilled to continue our contributions to Zambian families’ academic and upward progress through the Kenneth Kaunda Scholarship launch.
The scholarship is a 100% sponsorship of one aspiring student who wishes to pursue a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and become a doctor. This scholarship aims to support one ambitious meritorious Zambian student to give them a chance to serve the nation as skilled and compassionate professionals.
We are happy that each of the university’s employees, in their different roles, contributes to Zambia’s economic and social development and that, once again, sustainable education means a better quality of life for all Zambians.
