Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) proudly participated in the Zambia Model United Nations (ZAMUN) Conference held at the University of Lusaka, an event organized by the Zambia Law Development Commission. The conference attracted student delegates from over eleven universities across the country, providing a dynamic platform for engagement in global policy dialogue, legal simulations, and diplomacy.
The event was graced by the Attorney General of the Republic of Zambia, who served as the Guest of Honour. In his address, he emphasized the importance of law in maintaining peace and security and the critical role of young people in shaping the future of the nation and the world.
Texila American University Zambia was represented by a delegation of committed and well-prepared students, who stood out for their exceptional communication skills, research, and diplomatic engagement. Notably, seven Texila students received individual awards for their outstanding performance during the sessions, further demonstrating the university’s dedication to nurturing global citizens and future leaders.
The ZAMUN Conference provided an enriching experience beyond competition, fostering connections with legal professionals, policymakers, and fellow student delegates. It also created avenues for future collaboration in areas of youth engagement, education, and governance.
