Texila, As a part of the CSR activity on 13th September 2017 TAU, Zambia donated Cadaver boxes to The University of Zambia (UNZA). The event was attended by several dignitaries of both institutions. TAU campus is located in Lusaka, Zambia; approved by the Higher Education Authority, Ministry of Higher Education Zambia. It offers full-time, part-time, and DBLP programs in healthcare, management, etc.
There is a famous saying, “Service to man is service to God.”
When an organization gets involved in serving society, some refer to it as “CSR”. Others call it “Social service”. And yet others term it as “helping others”.
Whichever way one chooses to refer to it, Texila American University Zambia strongly believes in “giving back to the society.” Over the years several CSR activities have been successfully conducted by us.
As a part of the CSR activity on 13th September 2017 TAU, Zambia donated Cadaver boxes to The University of Zambia (UNZA).
The event was witnessed by Professor Ajay Kumar Poddar, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Texila University, Dr. Vijayakumar Rarathinam, Asst. Registrar, Mr Joseph Jesvin Pradeep Kumar, senior Regional Manager, Africa, Mr Nirmal Kumar, Senior Operations Manager, The Dean School of Medicine, The Dean of Health Sciences, The Assistant Dean School of Medicine and the staff from the School of Medicine.
Talking at the event the Vice Chancellor of The University of Zambia Prof. Luke E.Mumba quoted that “I take this opportunity to commend you Deputy Vice Chancellor – Texila American University for the Donation you have made of two chambers worth US $6000 (Six thousand United States Dollars) to the University of Zambia. This gesture arises from the Memorandum of Understanding subsisting between The University of Zambia and Texila University.
The chambers will be used by the school of medicine to keep cadavers for teaching. This initiative will also help to advance our program to maintain and expand teaching and learning infrastructure. But it must not end here. I invite you to continue working with us.
I am confident that in working together, we can sustain the profile of the medical profession by continuing to qualify the best medical Practitioners taught from our institutions.”
