Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) continues to foster academic excellence and student engagement through interactive initiatives that provide valuable insights into the journey of medical education. MBChB student Shanice Mupamombe from Zimbabwe led an inspiring webinar titled “Your Launchpad to Medical School Success!” at TAU’s Lilayi Campus in Lusaka.
The session, attended by aspiring medical students focused on key strategies for excelling in medical school, effective study techniques, time management, and the importance of resilience in the demanding field of medicine. Drawing from her own experiences, Shanice highlighted the challenges and triumphs of navigating the MBChB program, offering practical advice to those preparing to embark on a similar path.
Speaking about the initiative that allows students to share their experiences through engaging webinars, Shanice expressed her appreciation for TAU’s commitment to student-led learning.
“This initiative is truly empowering because it gives us, as students, a platform to share our journeys, inspire others, and foster a sense of community. Transitioning into medical school can be overwhelming, but hearing firsthand experiences from those already in the program helps incoming students gain confidence and prepare for what lies ahead. I’m grateful to Texila American University for providing such opportunities that allow us to contribute meaningfully to the academic growth of our peers,” she said.
The webinar is part of TAU’s broader commitment to nurturing student-driven discussions and mentorship, reinforcing the university’s dedication to producing well-rounded medical professionals. With initiatives like these, TAU continues to equip its students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the medical field while fostering a culture of academic collaboration and support.
