Texila American University Zambia’s Dean of the School of Medicine, Dr. Amit Singh, held an interactive session with the new cohort of students enrolled in the Health Professions Foundation Program (HPFP) on campus. The engagement aimed to introduce students to the realities of the medical profession and set a strong foundation for their academic journey.
Speaking to the aspiring healthcare professionals, Dr. Singh emphasized the dedication, resilience, and ethical responsibility required in the field of medicine.
“Medicine is not just a career; it is a lifelong commitment to service, learning, and compassion. Every great doctor starts as a student, and the effort you put in now will shape the kind of professional you become,” Dr. Singh said.

The HPFP program at Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) is designed to equip students with the foundational knowledge required for further studies in medicine and health sciences. The new students expressed excitement about embarking on their journey, with many stating that the session inspired them to pursue their dreams with renewed passion.
