In its continued effort to inspire and guide the next generation of professionals, a team from Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) visited Ashford Academy in Lusaka for an interactive engagement with pupils on the Texila Academy Study Online Platform. The visit aimed to expose students to academic opportunities and help them make informed decisions about their future careers.
During the session, the TAUZ team introduced pupils to various academic programs offered at the university, with a strong focus on the importance of early career planning and higher education. The pupils actively participated in the session, asking questions and sharing their aspirations.
The visit was marked by vibrant discussions around career paths in medicine, public health, business, information technology, and other key fields aligned with TAUZ’s academic offerings.
Speaking after the event, a representative from the TAUZ team emphasized the university’s commitment to reaching out to secondary schools and creating platforms that bridge the gap between high school and university education.
“Our goal is to guide and support young minds as they prepare for life beyond high school. These interactions help us understand students’ interests and give them the right tools and information to shape their future,” the representative said.
As part of the outreach, Ashford Academy pupils were also officially invited to visit the TAUZ Lilayi campus for a career guidance session and campus tour. The initiative is designed to give them firsthand exposure to university life and provide one-on-one interactions with academic advisors and faculty members.
The event was well-received by both students and staff at Ashford Academy, who appreciated the university’s effort to invest time and resources in nurturing future leaders
