In a heartwarming act of charity, students from Texila American University Zambia, led by Miss Texila 2024 Tanaka Hasha, donated clothing and other goodies to St. Lawrence Home of Hope and Kabwata Orphanage.
The students not only provided the much-needed items but also spent quality time with the children. The students’ visit was filled with smiles, laughter, and heartfelt interactions, as they engaged in games and storytelling with the children. The initiative aimed to support the local communities and bring happiness to the young residents.
Tanaka Hasha expressed her gratitude and commitment to such causes. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to see the smiles on these children’s faces,” she said.
“We believe in the power of giving back to our community and hope that our small gesture can make a significant difference in their lives. We are committed to continuing our efforts to support and uplift these children.”
The administrators of both orphanages expressed their profound gratitude to the students for their generosity.
“This donation means a lot to us and the children,” said a representative from St. Lawrence Home of Hope. “It’s not just about the items they brought, but the time and love they shared with the kids.”
The visit concluded with a group photo and promises from the students to return with more support in the future.
The event stands as a testament to the compassion and dedication of the young students of Texila American University Zambia who came together to raise resources for the campaign.
