Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) has strengthened its commitment to empowering healthcare professionals in Zambia by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Resident Doctors Association of Zambia (RDAZ).
The signing ceremony at the TAUZ Lilayi campus marks a significant step toward enhancing educational opportunities for doctors across the country.
With this MoU, RDAZ members will now be eligible for exclusive tuition fee discounts when enrolling in TAUZ programs. This collaboration is designed to support Zambian doctors in advancing their careers through quality, accessible education, contributing to improved healthcare delivery in Zambia.
The partnership aligns with TAUZ’s mission to bridge gaps in healthcare education by providing training tailored to local needs while adhering to international standards. With programs in Public Health, Clinical Research, and Management, among others, TAUZ aims to equip medical professionals with the expertise required to address health challenges in Zambia and beyond.
TAUZ Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ajay Poddar, expressed optimism about the partnership, noting, “This MoU demonstrates our commitment to supporting Zambia’s healthcare sector by offering accessible, quality education to doctors who are essential in delivering care to communities. We are honoured to collaborate with RDAZ in this way.”
RDAZ President Dr. Mweupe Mphande, in a speech read by association Vice President Dr. Joel Siambelele, highlighted the benefits of the agreement, stating, “This partnership with TAUZ opens new doors for our members to enhance their qualifications and contribute even more effectively to Zambia’s healthcare system. We believe that access to advanced education will empower our doctors and improve patient care across the nation.” As part of the agreement, TAUZ will offer a range of courses designed to meet the unique needs of healthcare professionals.
