Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) successfully hosted a three-day Orientation Programme for students enrolled in the Health Professions Foundation Programme (HPFP), marking the beginning of their academic journey at the institution.
The orientation programme was designed to introduce freshers to the university environment, academic structure, and key institutional processes, while also providing them with the necessary tools to navigate university life effectively. Throughout the programme, various departments including academic, administrative, and student support services engaged students through interactive sessions aimed at fostering awareness and preparedness.
Speaking during the orientation, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Balamurugan Easwaran, emphasized the importance of the programme in shaping students’ academic and professional journeys.
“This orientation programme is a critical foundation for your success at Texila American University Zambia. It is designed not only to familiarize you with the academic environment, but also to equip you with the discipline, mindset, and skills required to excel in the health professions. We are committed to supporting you every step of the way as you begin this important journey,” he said.
Dr. Easwaran further encouraged students to actively participate in the sessions, engage with faculty and fellow students, and make full use of the resources available to them.
The HPFP serves as a preparatory pathway for students aspiring to pursue careers in the health sciences, and the orientation programme plays a key role in ensuring that students transition smoothly into the demands of university education.
The university continues to reaffirm its commitment to delivering quality education and holistic student support, as it nurtures the next generation of healthcare professionals.
