Texila American University Zambia successfully hosted its 2024 Graduation Ceremony on 24th October at the prestigious Taj Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka.
The event was a proud celebration of academic achievement, honoring graduates from various disciplines who have excelled in their studies and are now prepared to contribute to society in impactful ways.
The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including Dr. Choolwe Beyani, Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, who served as the chief guest, and Brigadier General Prof. Lawson Simapuka, the Executive Director of the National Forensics Authority, who delivered an inspiring address. Both speakers emphasized the importance of education in nation-building and the need for graduates to use their knowledge to drive positive change in their communities.
In line with the graduation theme, “Beyond Graduation: Creating Impact in a Global Society,” the event focused on encouraging graduates to think beyond their academic achievements and consider how they can contribute meaningfully to both local and global challenges.
The Chancellor Prof. Ajay Poddar, expressed their confidence in the graduates’ ability to embody the values of excellence and leadership instilled during their academic journey at Texila.
The ceremony concluded with a symbolic moment of cap tossing, marking the transition of graduates into the professional world.
It was a day filled with cultural dance performances, joy, pride, and a sense of accomplishment as families and friends joined in celebrating the new graduates’ success.
