Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) was represented at the launch of Remote Health Diagnostics by Dr. Chimuka Mwaanga, Coordinator for the MBChB program. The event, organized by 73Health Global, took place at Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka and was officiated by the Minister of Technology and Science, Hon. Felix Mutati.
73Health Global, an international company headquartered in Finland, brought together healthcare leaders, innovators, policymakers, and professionals to explore the introduction of cutting-edge remote healthcare technology. This technological breakthrough enables doctors to remotely examine and diagnose patients, significantly improving accessibility and efficiency in healthcare delivery.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Mutati emphasized the importance of leveraging digital solutions to bridge healthcare gaps, particularly in underserved areas. He highlighted how this innovation aligns with Zambia’s vision for technological advancement in the health sector.
Dr. Chimuka Mwaanga acknowledged the significance of this development, noting that it presents new opportunities for medical education and practice. “As a university committed to advancing healthcare knowledge and solutions, Texila American University Zambia welcomes this innovation. It will be a game-changer in improving healthcare access, especially in rural communities,” he stated.
