Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Zambia Union of Nurses and Midwives Organisation (ZUWNO), paving the way for enhanced educational opportunities for healthcare professionals.
Under the agreement, members of ZUWNO will benefit from exclusive discounts on tuition fees for selected academic programs offered by TAUZ. The partnership is aimed at empowering nurses and midwives through access to affordable, high-quality education that enhances their professional growth and capacity.
The MoU was officially signed by TAUZ Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ajay Poddar, and ZUWNO President, Mr. Fray Michelo, during a brief ceremony held in Lusaka.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Michelo urged members of the union to take advantage of the opportunity provided through this partnership. “This is a great milestone for us as a union. I encourage all our members to utilise this offer to upgrade their qualifications and broaden their career prospects,” he said.
Prof. Poddar reaffirmed the university’s commitment to making world-class education accessible to all. “At Texila, we believe in partnerships that drive national development. We are proud to collaborate with ZUWNO and support healthcare professionals with affordable, quality education that meets global standards,” he said.
The partnership is expected to contribute significantly to the upskilling of nurses and midwives across Zambia, strengthening the country’s healthcare delivery system.
