Texila American University partnered with the Zambia Chamber of Commerce & Industry to facilitate a mentorship program on Finance and Branding. The program was for small & medium enterprises on 11th December 2020.
This mentorship program focused on providing expert training to small & medium enterprises. The focus was on the critical components of finance and branding. Consequently, these components can propel their business in gaining recognition, trust among customers, and managing their finances prudently.
Mr. Chibamba Kanyama delivered the 1st session of the TAU-ZACCI Mentorship program. He is a Zambian business leader and writer specializing in communication strategy as well as economics. Also, he is a renounced Financial Advisor and Specialist, and the current Managing Consultant at Bridges Limited. This session provided the participants with the knowledge to effectively manage the working capital of a business.
Mr. Mato Shimabale, an award-winning Marketing & Customer Service professional, delivered The 2nd session. He is currently the Head of Marketing and Corporate Relations at ABSA PLC. The session covered ways to improve marketing strategies with visually appealing collaterals.
The program was a huge success. Also, it generated excitement and allowed participants to collaborate deeply with mentors. Also, it allowed them to bring more excellent, inclusive knowledge and practices to the business community.
The TAU-ZACCI partnership seeks to have a massive impact on small & medium enterprise owners’ lives across Zambia. Furthermore, it aims to bring the impact by providing them with greater access to Scholarships, Development Programs, and Mentorship Programs. By joining forces with ZACCI, Texila American University plans to increase support for such initiatives nationwide by making them more accessible for all ZACCI members.
