Pupils from Oak Tree Secondary School in Lusaka recently visited Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) at its Lilayi campus for a comprehensive tour and career guidance sessions designed to inspire and inform their future academic and career choices.
The visit was highlighted by interactive sessions led by Dr. Amit Singh, Dean of the School of Medicine, and Dr. Raghvendra Sharma, Dean of the School of Public Health. The two distinguished academic leaders engaged the pupils with insightful presentations, offering valuable advice on career paths in medicine, public health, and related fields. They emphasized the importance of early career planning and the wide range of opportunities available in the health sciences sector.
During the tour, the pupils had the opportunity to explore TAUZ’s ultramodern facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories, lecture halls, and the university’s student support services. They were also introduced to the Texila Academy online study platform, an innovative tool designed to enhance learning experiences and provide flexible study options for students.
The event formed part of TAUZ’s ongoing efforts to engage with the wider community and support young learners in making informed decisions about their future careers. It also provided the pupils with a firsthand experience of university life and the academic environment at Texila American University Zambia.
TAUZ continues to welcome schools and educational groups for similar engagements as part of its commitment to bringing education to life and empowering the next generation of leaders.
